Getting started
A demo is a set of screenshots with clickable hotspots on top. Viewers click through it the way they would use your product. This page takes you from sign-up to a link you can send.
Create your account and start the trial
- Sign up with your name, email and a password.
- Open the email we send you and confirm your address. You can build demos without confirming, but you cannot publish until you do.
- Add a card to start your 7-day free trial. The card is required, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. After that it is $44 a month or $500 a year, whichever you choose, and you can cancel any time. See Billing for the details.
Create a demo
On your dashboard, choose New demo, give it a title and choose Create. The editor opens with no steps yet.
Add screenshots
Each screenshot becomes one step. There are three ways to add them:
- Choose Add screenshots under the step list and pick your files.
- Drag image files onto the step list, or paste an image from your clipboard.
- Capture them straight from the browser with the Chrome extension.
PNG, JPEG and WebP images are accepted, up to 10 MB each. Your plan includes 5 GB of screenshots.
Add hotspots
A hotspot is a clickable area on a screenshot. Pick the Hotspot tool, draw over the button or field you want people to click, and type a tooltip. Hotspots and steps covers the options.
Publish and share
Choose Publish in the top right. Your demo gets a public link. Open Share in the top bar to copy it, or open the share page for the embed code. Publishing again after a change is called Republish, and viewers see the update once it finishes. Share and embed has the details.
