Share and embed

A demo is private until you publish it. Once it is published, anyone with the link can open it, and you can embed it on your own pages.

Publish

Choose Publish in the top bar. A message says "Published version 1" (with the real number). Each time you publish, viewers get the latest version. After that the button reads Republish, and a badge says "Unpublished changes" while the editor holds edits that are not live yet.

Publishing is blocked while a settings section in the Demo tab has an unsaved draft, so choose Save in that section first. You also need a confirmed email address. If the button is greyed out, hover over it to see why.

Open Share in the top bar for the public link, with a Copy button. The same link is on the demo's Share tab, under Share a link. Anyone who has it can open the demo without an account.

Embed on your site

On the Share tab, Embed on your site gives you an <iframe> snippet. Paste it into your page where the demo should appear. It scales to the width of its container and keeps the demo's proportions.

Make it yours

The Demo tab in the editor holds the settings that shape what viewers see. Each section has its own Save button.

  • Details: a description for the demo.
  • Branding: an accent colour and a logo.
  • Intro & outro: an optional start screen (title, text and the label of its start button) and an optional end screen (title and text).
  • Call to action: a button with your own label and link, such as "Book a call".
  • Lead gate: ask viewers for their details. See Leads and analytics.
  • Password: see below.
  • Badge: switch the "Made with Demo My Product" badge on or off.

Protect a demo with a password

In the Demo tab, open Password, type a password of 6 to 72 characters and choose Save. Viewers must enter it before the demo opens. Choose Change to set a new one, or Remove to make the demo open to anyone with the link again.

Some browsers, Safari and iOS in particular, refuse to remember the password inside an embed. The embed then offers Open the demo in a new tab so the viewer can continue on your demo's own page.

Take a demo offline

Open the menu next to Publish (More options), choose Unpublish, then Take offline. The public link and any embeds then show an unavailable page. Your steps and settings stay as they are. Publish again whenever you want the demo back.
